You’ve heard it on the news. You’ve read it in the papers.
The economic future of Georgia depends largely on the next generation’s ability to stack up to the demands of emerging 21st Century Careers—careers such as Counterterrorism Expert and Agricultural Scientist, and those with titles that don’t even exist yet. However, it’s our responsibility to prepare kids for their next steps into the real world—regardless of whether it is college, technical school, vocational school, community college, or career.
In Carole Marsh’s Georgia Careers Curriculum series, lifelong entrepreneur and educator Carole Marsh takes an entirely new, forward-thinking approach to education: one based on current needs and the future job market. The strong, fact-based books give kids a modern-day perspective on the opportunities that lie ahead.
It’s time to offer all students great tools to help them appreciate, enjoy, and benefit from Georgia’s College and Career Pathway programs. Together, let’s help prepare them for the future they face.
Today’s students do not necessarily need to go into great debt or get a four-year college degree to have a successful career. The wide array of jobs and industries in Georgia offer opportunities for those trained in specific skills in technical or vocational schools. Georgia’s College and Career Pathways will offer certificate programs and dual-enrollment to help students get a head-start in college. Essential skills are required, but there is a career path for any Georgia student!
